Sarah Hope Lincoln, PhD
Lab Director
Dr. Lincoln (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University and the Director of the Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory.

Elyssa Barrick
Graduate Student
Elyssa (she/her/hers) is a 2nd year graduate student. In the lab, she uses behavioral and neuroimaging methods to investigate neurocognitive mechanisms underlying emotional and social impairments across the psychosis spectrum. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, cooking, reading fantasy books, playing tabletop games, and going on nature walks with her pup Jemma.

Jill (she/her/hers) is a 3rd year graduate student in the lab. Her research interests include psychotic disorders, with a focus on understanding the potential benefits of social support and other intervention strategies. She loves hiking, crafts, and dogs, and enjoys spending time with family in her spare time.

Madeline Ward
Madeline (she/her/hers) is a 1st year graduate student in the lab. She’s interested in researching the cognitive and social risk factors involved in the development and maintenance of psychosis. More specifically, she is interested in social dysfunction as it relates to engagement with treatment, as well as improving treatment access and engagement in early psychosis. In her spare time, she enjoys running and being active, and trying new places to eat or drink!

Claire Turner
Claire (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate research assistant in the lab and is interested in researching neurodevelopment, anxiety disorders, and social functioning and childhood disorders more broadly. She aspires to become a pediatric Physician Assistant. She loves to travel and she also enjoys hiking and spending time with her dogs.

Madison Miles
Madison (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate research assistant interested in the
psychopathological and developmental consequences of children’s exposure to adverse experiences and/or traumatic events. Outcomes of interest that she is interested in studying include attachment patterns, intergenerational trauma, and health disparities. Madison’s plains to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and in her spare time she loves training her dog to learn new skills!

Sharon (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate research assistant in the lab and she is currently a Statistics major on the pre-med track. She aspires to eventually become a child psychiatrist. For fun, she loves to go out and take pictures, and she enjoys finding cute cafes where she can study or take a break.

Grant Nelson
Grant (he/him/his) is an undergraduate research assistant in the lab and he is interested in the anatomy and physiology of the brain and the intersection of anatomical and physiological differences leading to mental illness. He also is interested in understanding social factors that affect the development and treatment of mental illnesses. In his spare time, Grant loves to play board games (Catan is his favorite) and go skydiving, skiing, and kayaking.

Sophia (she/her/hers) is an undergrad research assistant in the lab with an interest in physiological psychology. She hopes to eventually pursue her PhD in experimental psychology. In her spare time, she loves playing the clarinet and playing video games with her friends.

Nico (he/him/his) is an undergraduate research assistant with an interest in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing tennis, cooking, and making bread!

Katie Furgason
Katie (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate research assistant in the lab and is interested in pediatric psychology, focusing on coping and support for children with cancer. Specifically, she wants to investigate how psychological intervention can improve quality of life and social functioning in pediatric cancer patients. She intends to pursue either a Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She loves playing piano, doing yoga, traveling, and exploring new restaurants in the Cleveland area. On campus, she is also involved in Camp Kesem and works as a campus tour guide and Resident Assistant!

Grayson Holt
Grayson (he/him/his) is an undergraduate research assistant interested in bioethics, patient preference and healthcare delivery. He aims to pursue a career in psychiatry, with a goal of aligning mental health care closer with the goals and values of patients throughout the course of their illness. In his free time he loves playing basketball and seeing live music!

Lydia Dorr
Lydia Dorr (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate research assistant in the lab interested in theory of mind as it relates to moral cognition in abnormal populations. She aspires to receive her PhD, and later conduct research exploring the connections between ethics and psychology. In her spare time Lydia likes to run (or so she is told), read mystery novels, and listen to podcasts.

Marissa Salvaterra
Marissa (she/her/hers) is a 4th year undergraduate student in the lab. Her research interests are global mental health, psychoeducational intervention, and youth development. She is currently investigating the effectiveness of psychoeducation in relation to body image and disordered eating behaviors. Outside of the lab, her hobbies include songwriting, calisthenics, cooking, and listening to neuroscience podcasts.

Tanvi Prabhakar
Tanvi (she/her/hers) is a rising senior at Case Western Reserve University and is majoring in Psychology, with minor in Chemistry, under the pre-medicine track. She has worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a Student Researcher in two separate fields - Biostatistics and Neuropsychology. She is currently working at Reading Centers of University Hospitals Eye Institute as an Image Analyst!

Kate Li
Kate (she/her/hers) is an undergraduate research assistant who is interested in neuroplasticity and factors that affect the development of neuropsychiatric disorders. She plans to pursue a degree in medicine, with hopes of becoming a child/adolescent psychiatrist. Outside of the lab, Kate loves biking, running, playing tennis, exploring new places, and watching Ted Talks!
